SkyBridge moved a manufacturer's aging in-house software estate onto a modern cloud setup without pausing daily operations. Storage, accounting and production systems now run in organised cloud environments with backups, monitoring and access rules applied consistently across the board.
Once the foundation was in place, deployments changed character: staff updates ship in minutes as routine releases on an automated pipeline, instead of waiting weeks and praying nothing breaks.
We moved systems one at a time, starting with the least complicated, validating each on real data and keeping the old server on standby until the new home proved itself. Environment definitions are documented and versioned now, so recreate, scale or roll back are ordinary operations - not emergencies.
Every migration step carried a rollback plan, and progress was reviewed weekly against three numbers: uptime, deployment time and unplanned outages - all of which improved month on month.
